  • 1 ½ cups Honey Baked Ham Chopped
  • 1 ½ cups Onion Chopped
  • 3 Large Carrots Peeled; Sliced
  • 2 bulbs Garlic Minced
  • 1 pound Dry Split Peas Rinsed; Drained
  • 1 ½ cups Russet Potatoes Peeled; Diced
  • 10 cups Chicken Broth
  • 3 Bay Leaves
  • 2 teaspoons Black Pepper Freshly Cracked
  • 1 teaspoon Salt

Instructions

  • In a 6-Quart Instant Pot (the inner pot), combine all of the ingredients. *DO NOT fill pot more than 2/3 full.*
  • Make sure the outside of the inner pot is clean and completely dry before inserting into the outer Instant Pot. Close the lid and set pressure vent to SEALING. Press the SOUP button and +/- to 25 minutes.
  • After cooking is done and you hear 3 beeps, allow the pressure to naturally release for 15 minutes. Next, turn valve to VENTING to emit steam.
  • Open the lid and stir; serve hot. The Split Pea Soup will thicken even more within the hour and tastes EVEN BETTER the next day as the flavors marinate!
