Materials

  • 4 Cardboard Boxes Accommodate Shoulder Width
  • 24 Solo Cups
  • 4 cans Spray Paint Any Color
  • Masking Tape/Duct Tape
  • 1 pair Scissors
  • 1 pair Disposable Gloves
  • 1 Face Mask
  • 1 Hot Glue Gun With Extra Glue Refills
  • 1 Pencil

Instructions

  • Using scissors, cut the back and bottom off each box.
  • Adhere the masking tape/duct tape to any edges and closings that need a little extra reinforcement.
  • Using a pencil, trace an elongated half circle at the top of the box to create the neck hole; cut out with scissors.
  • Trace an oval on both sides of the box to create the arm holes; cut out with scissors.
  • Carefully adhere tape to the cutout rims of the neck and arm holes (to prevent chafing and irritation from the box).
  • Space the boxes far apart from each other in your yard, or other work surface, face down; spray paint the inside edges and internal rims of the neck and arm holes.
  • While the inside is drying, cut the red solo cups; leaving about 3 inches of the bottom. You will need 6 cup bottoms per box.
  • While your hot glue gun is heating up, take your pencil and mark off 6 dots on the front of each box (2 rows of 3; evenly spaced).
  • Apply hot glue to one rim (cut side) and carefully (but quickly) press down onto one of the markings on the front side of the box; continue with the other 5 cup ends until you have created the LEGO studs. Repeat this process with the other 3 boxes.
  • Apply hot glue around the base of each cup end; on every box, to create a sturdy seal between the cups and boxes.
  • Space the boxes far apart again in the yard; face up. Put your face mask and gloves on.
  • Spray paint each box and studs with any paint color of your choosing.
  • Allow to dry in the sun for 1 hour.
  • Let's get SPOOKY!
