Plus, this kids activity immediately translates Hook to me…..one of my all-time favorite movies…..EVER! My kids are just now starting to appreciate movies that are not animated…..I have had a list of movies just waiting for this moment! Needless to say…..we will be watching Hook tonight! Pictured below are the ingredients and equipment needed to create my Bang-A-Rang Grilled Cheese…..get it? 😂 Rufio! Rufio! Rufio!
If not done already, slice a sourdough loaf and set aside.
Add 1/2 cup shredded cheese into each of the four mixing bowls. Add food coloring into the bowls; separated by color; mix with a fork until the cheese has absored the color.
Preheat a skillet on medium heat; butter one side of bread and place into the pan, butter-facing-down.
Carefully spoon each cheese color onto the bread; top with the other slice of bread.
Spread butter on the top piece of bread and press down with a spatula.
Cook for 2-3 minutes; flip; press down with a spatula once more. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes; remove from heat; slice and plate; ENJOY!
