Edible Fun

Ice Cream In A Bag

An edible activity that your kids have to work for! This ice cream is so fun to make and requires very few ingredients…..a perfect way to get your kids exercising outdoors!

I absolutely recommend partaking in this activity outdoors as you will see from the pictures…..it can get a tad messy…..but that is nothing a little soap and water cannot clean up. This is such a special treat for the kids during Summer time and will provide long lasting memories for years to come. Pictured below are the ingredients and equipment needed to create my “Ice Cream In A Bag.”

Place the heavy whipping cream, extracts and confectioners sugar into a sandwich bag and seal. Next, place that sandwich bag into one more sandwich bag (essentially, double bagging) and seal. I would like to note that Kade chose peppermint extract and Indy chose lemon extract for their ice cream flavors…..I labeled their bags “P” for peppermint and “L” for lemon.

Put the double bag into a plastic tupperware container; add six Tablespoons coarse sea salt and fill the container half way with ice.

Place the lid on the container to seal and SHAKE SHAKE SHAKE rigorously for ten minutes until ice cream has formed. Keep extra ice on hand to add to the container when ice melts from the heat outside.

Grab a spoon and enjoy!

XOXO,
