Wicked Witch Hat Cupcakes

Wicked from head-to-toe; these cupcakes are a spooky fun way to bring the creep to any Halloween party!

Indy had begged and begged and begged for me to help her make these cupcakes. Apparently, she downloaded a kids’ cooking app on her Amazon Fire Tablet and one episode included witch cupcakes with “fun-dun” (as Indy says 😂). Fondant, LOL! Okay, Indy…..I made it happen for my girl! The surprising twist about these cupcakes is…..they turn you into a straight-up zombie…..your mouth will literally turn black…..which is super awesome for Halloween parties (especially for children)! Below are the ingredients needed to create Indy’s Wicked Witch Hat Cupcakes!

To make the black velvet cupcakes, preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and insert 12 cupcake liners into a muffin tin, set aside. In a small mixing bowl, mix the cocoa powder, black food coloring and pure vanilla extract until it forms a paste; set aside.

In a stand mixer (using a paddle attachment), cream the butter and sugar together on medium-high until fluffy.

Add the eggs and beat until smooth; add the cocoa mixture and mix until combined.
