Baked Cajun Chicken Breasts
The juciest chicken breasts you will ever eat…..AND…..they are Clean Eating!
This chicken breast recipe is my “go-to” when it comes to adding flavor to any parent recipe. This chicken can be used in soups, stews, sauces, salads, dips AS WELL AS on its own as a main dish! I can always count on this chicken to be moist and tender…..never EVER letting me down. My Husband especially loves when I add this chicken to my buffalo chicken dip recipe! Each chicken breast equals two servings; plenty to feed a family for a weeknight meal!
To begin, preheat your oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit and spray a baking dish with Extra Virgin Olive Oil spray; set aside. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the salt, black pepper, cayenne, crushed red peppers, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, oregano and thyme.
Place the chicken breasts (top sides facing down) into the baking dish; rub half of the spice mixture onto the bottoms of the breasts. Flip the chicken breasts (top sides facing up now) and rup the remaining spice mixture onto the tops of the breasts. *Use all of the spices*
Bake (uncovered) for 18 minutes. Take the baking dish out of the oven and cover LOOSELY with tin foil; return to oven and continue baking an additional 5 minutes. After baking, remove from oven and TIGHTLY seal the tin foil on the baking dish. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
